It has been a few weeks since I updated my progress. Sorry for the long silence but I have been ill and also I had computer problems. I hope to bring you up to date with how I coped in America.

Over the last two weeks I have had some really positive experiences that I would like to share with you. This cochlear implant has changed my life for the better.
I was hoping to take a more active part in the conversation at yesterday's dinner but once again the amount of noise defeated me and although I heard more than at past events I didn't meet my higher expectations.
